You Abroad, Family in Turkey: Getting Flowers Home the Same Day
When you live abroad, it isn't the ordinary days you miss most — it's Mother's Day, a parent's birthday, the morning of Eid. You may not be able to fly home for each one, but you can make sure flowers are at the door: ordering takes a few minutes, and with same-day delivery they can arrive on the day itself.
From your screen to their door
You place the order online from wherever you live and set Turkey as the delivery country. A florist in the recipient's own province takes it from there — arranging the bouquet and delivering it by hand. No courier boxes, no long journey across the country.
Mind the clock
The same-day cut-off is 12:00 noon Turkey time; later orders are delivered the next day. Turkey stays on GMT+3 all year, so work out the gap from where you are: at 10:00 on a summer morning in London, it's already 12:00 in Istanbul.
Eid, Mother's Day and other dates to plan
- Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (Bayram): for flowers on the morning of the holiday, order a few days early.
- Mother's Day in Turkey: the second Sunday of May — 9 May in 2027. In the UK, Mothering Sunday falls in March, so don't mix the two up.
- Birthdays and anniversaries: simply choose the date at checkout.
Ordering in five steps
- At the top of the page, set the delivery country to Turkey.
- Find the flowers you'd like and add them to your cart.
- Type in the recipient's name, mobile number and full address, then choose the province and district from the list.
- Write the card. A few words in Turkish go a long way — "Seni seviyorum anne" (I love you, Mum) says it all.
- Pick the delivery date and pay.
Writing a Turkish address
A Turkish address names the neighbourhood (mahalle), the street (cadde or sokak), the building number and the flat number. If the building or housing complex has a name, add it too, and always include the recipient's mobile number so the florist can find them easily.
Paying with a card from another country
Visa and Mastercard both work through 3D Secure. You see prices in euros (or another currency you pick in the top menu), but you're charged in Turkish lira; your own bank converts the amount into your currency. Some banks add a foreign transaction fee, so it's worth checking with yours.
Choosing the flowers
For Mum, flowers in a box or roses; for grandparents, long-lasting potted plants; for celebrations, bright bouquets. For condolences, our sympathy collection has calm, white arrangements.
Everything you can send is on the send flowers to Turkey page.
Frequently asked questions
If I order from abroad, can the flowers arrive today?
They can. Every order placed before 12:00 noon Turkey time goes out the same day.
My card was issued by a bank outside Turkey. Will it work?
It will — Visa and Mastercard are accepted through 3D Secure. The charge is in Turkish lira, and your bank handles the currency conversion.
Is a delivery on the first morning of Eid possible?
Yes. Set the first day of the holiday as your delivery date, and order a few days in advance, as it's one of the busiest times of the year.
Which parts of Turkey can you reach?
Every one of the 81 provinces — Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya included.
