Paying From Abroad: Why Your Card Is Charged in Turkish Lira

You might be ordering from your kitchen in Munich, your desk in London or your flat in Moscow. Choosing the flowers is the easy part. The question usually comes at checkout: which currency will my card be charged in, and what will my bank do with it? Here is the payment step explained from your side, with no surprises.

The short answer: your card is always charged in Turkish lira

Whichever country you send flowers to, Yurtdışı Çiçek Gönder charges your card in Turkish lira (TRY). The exact lira amount is shown on the payment screen before you confirm, so you see it in advance. There is no separate delivery fee on top.

What the currency selector in the menu does

Seeing prices in a currency you know makes the choice easier. That is why you can pick a display currency in the top menu, such as euros, pounds or roubles. This choice only changes how prices appear on screen:

  • It does not change the currency your card is charged in; that is still lira.
  • If you switch the delivery country, your chosen display currency stays the same.
  • The amount you see is a guide for comparison; the figure that counts is the lira amount on the payment screen.

Can I use a card from a foreign bank?

Yes. A debit or credit card issued in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands or anywhere else works. Because the charge is in lira, your bank handles the conversion into your card's currency. It may use its own exchange rate and may add a fee for foreign transactions. Those terms depend entirely on your bank, so if you want to know in advance, check your card's foreign transaction conditions or simply ask your bank.

3D Secure: the short confirmation step

When you pay, a confirmation page from your card issuer opens. Your bank asks you to enter a one-time code sent to your phone or to approve the payment in its app. This confirms that the card is being used by you.

If you live abroad, keep these in mind:

  1. Make sure the phone number your bank has on file is current, because the code goes there.
  2. If your banking app does the approval, keep your phone at hand.
  3. Do not close the confirmation page; you return to the site automatically when it is done.
  4. If online or international payments are switched off on your card, the bank may decline the payment. Your bank can turn this on for you.

What you fill in before payment

Payment is the final step. Before it, the order form asks for:

  • The recipient's full name
  • The recipient's phone number, which the florist uses if they cannot reach them at the door
  • The full address, written the way that country formats addresses, including the postcode
  • Your card message, a few lines to go with the flowers
  • The delivery day, picked from the calendar; there are no Sunday deliveries

Once that is done, all that is left is entering your card details and confirming. For the whole form step by step, see our international flower order guide.

Which payment methods are available?

The site accepts credit and debit cards with 3D Secure confirmation. As long as your card is enabled for online purchases and supports 3D Secure, it does not matter where you live.

Payment did not go through?

The usual reasons are simple: the 3D Secure code expired, online shopping is turned off on the card, or the bank paused a payment from abroad for security reasons. Request a new code and try again; if it still fails, a quick call to your bank usually sorts it out. If you want same-day delivery, keep an eye on the cut-off time for the delivery country while you do.

Frequently asked questions

Can my card be charged in euros or pounds?

No. Whatever the delivery country, the charge is in Turkish lira. The exact lira amount is shown on the payment screen before you confirm.

If I choose euros in the menu, will I pay in euros?

No. That setting only changes how prices are displayed; your card is still charged in lira.

How much will my foreign bank charge for conversion?

That depends entirely on your bank. It may apply its own exchange rate and a foreign transaction fee, so your bank is the best source for the exact terms.

What if the 3D Secure code does not arrive?

Check that the phone number your bank has on file is current and request a new code. If online or international payments are blocked on the card, ask your bank to enable them.

Is there a delivery charge added at checkout?

No, delivery is free. The lira amount on the payment screen is what your card will be charged.
